Flowers:
Flowerheads have (usually) 13 narrow, linear yellow ray florets, recurved when mature, and several dozen yellow-orange disc florets, while phyllaries, also 13, are equal in length, sticky-hairy, and not prominently black-tipped. At the base of the involucre are two to five shorter phyllaries, the calyculi, about a third to a half as long. Flowerheads are arranged in open clusters
Leaves:
Pinnately lobed, covered by sticky glandular hairs, as are the stem and flower stalks. Up to 7 cm long and 4 cm wide
