Flowers:
Reddish pink in bud, bluish-purple when mature; the corolla is bell-shaped, with five rounded lobes centered on five short stamens toped by dark brown/purple anthers. The base of the corolla tube is white. Calyces are green to purple, covered by rough hairs. Calyx teeth are relatively short, around a quarter of the length of the tube

Ovate, hairy, green with lighter blotches, dotted with resin glands. Stem leaves are clasping, basal leaves have short, winged stalks
