Flowers:
Clusters of up to four flowers at the tip and the upper leaf nodes. Flowers are white in bud, purple when open; a bell-shaped corolla with five spreading lobes, hairy on the inner surface. Below is a bristly green calyx, divided below the middle into five erect, triangular lobes
Leaves:
Nettle-like; ovate to triangular, with cordate bases. Stalked, and up to 10 cm long, with coarsely-toothed margins
