Solitary, around 25 mm in diameter; five unspotted pink petals, shallowly lobed or toothed at the tip and hairy towards the base, and a cylindrical calyx divided to about 1/5 of its length into triangular lobes. At the base is an epicalyx of four to six scales, similar in length to the calyx lobes. Flowers are held at the top of slender, hairless stems
