Yellow, toothed, crescent-shaped glands subtended by a pair of leaf-like, cup-shaped bracts, overlapping at the base; in terminal clusters of between three and six heads
Fruit:
Smooth, pale green, formed of three distinct cells
Leaves:
Alternate, grey-green, narrowly ovate, closely-spaced, fleshy, up to 2 cm long. Lower leaves, and stem, become reddish with age
