Pale yellow, around 4 mm long, with a broad banner petal curved down at the tip and edges, mostly hiding the other four petals. Flowers form in a dense, spherical cluster around 15 mm in diameter, of more than 25 heads. Stalks and stems have a covering of appressed hairs
Leaves:
Virtually hairless, trifoliate, with the middle leaflet attached by a longer stalk than the lateral pair. Leaflets are crossed by parallel, pinnate, closely-spaced veins
