Flowers:
The corolla, up to 25 mm long, is tubular, with a dark pink upper lip, arched towards the tip and flattened at the sides, and a lighter-coloured lower lip, divided near the tip into three spreading lobes. The calyx is greenish, red towards the tip, ribbed and sparsely hairy. Flowers are subtended by leaf-like bracts

Hairless, oblong, pinnately lobed, up to 6 cm long; divided into narrow, toothed segments
