Flowers:
Up to 1 cm long; five white to pale pink petals, crossed with darker, parallel veins, and a short calyx divided into five sharp-pointed lobes. At the center is a pistil surrounded by many thread-like stamens. Flowers are solitary, attached at the leaf nodes by stalks of up to 1 cm
Leaves:
Opposite, round or ovate, only around 5 mm long, on short stalks
