Resedaceae

Plants in the resedaceae (mignonette) family are characterised by simple, alternate leaves with small stipules, and small, asymmetric flowers formed of up to eight petals and up to eight sepals, with a group of up to 50 stamens at the centre. Flowers are arranged in elongated and/or branched clusters. Only two species grow in the British Isles, reseda lutea and reseda luteola.
