Petals are white, up to 3 cm long, narrow at the base then widening abruptly (clawed), while the green, lance-shaped sepals are much shorter, and hairy on both sides. At the centre is a group of around 20 stamens and five styles. Flowers are attached by slender, downy pedicels
Leaves:
Ovate, yellowish-green, hairless on top, downy below, lined by shallow teeth; up to 9 cm long, on short stalks
