Creamy-white, up to 20 mm in diameter, with four (occasionally five) oblong sepals, hairy on both surfaces, and several dozen narrow, strap-shaped stamens. Flowers form in open clusters at the upper leaf nodes

Achenes, with long, feathery plumes
Leaves:
Opposite, hairless to sparsely hairy, light green, pinnately divided into three or five ovate leaflets, sometimes lined by a few large teeth
