Five obovate white petals, greenish-yellow at the base and crossed by short, darker veins, around a centre of many yellow-tipped stamens and greenish carpels. Flowers are between 10 and 20 mm in diameter
Leaves:
Deeply divided floating leaves (may be absent) and rigid, thread-like, finely divided submerged leaves which are longer than the gap between adjacent leaves
