Flowers:
In dense, branched clusters (panicles). Flowers have no petals, only four small green sepals; most conspicuous are the many large stamens, with white or purplish filaments and pale yellow anthers
Leaves:
Hairless, pinnately divided two or three times into wedge-shaped leaflets, lined by a few large teeth. Crossed by light-coloured veins. Leaflets are around 3 cm long
